"The Astron GPS Solar. The only watch to adjust to all 39 time zones on earth"

In 1969, Seiko Quartz Astron, the world's first quartz watch was launched.

It was accurate to within 5 seconds per month, 100 times more accurate than any other watch, and its low-drain movement allowed it to run continuously for a year, or 250 times longer than most mechanical watches. Seiko Quartz Astron was a revolutionary wristwatch that changed timekeeping forever.

Today, the new Astron delivers another breakthrough in watch technology – a quartz watch with accuracy of one second every 100,000 years and time zone adjustment. By developing their own, patented, low-energy GPS receiver, Seiko has been able to create a watch that automatically receives time, time zone, day and date data from the global network of GPS satellites. It recognises all the 39 times zones on earth.
